Please read through this tutorial before ordering chimney flashing. While we're glad to answer any questions you may have, this guide is to help you communicate your needs to us.
There are numerous configurations of chimneys. We'll attempt to help you identify your particular situation to insure you get the proper parts for a leak free system.
The FULL IN PLANE chimney is completely surrounded by one roof plane. All four sides are flashed: the back, the front, and two sides.
----------------------------------------------
The FULL AT RIDGE chimney intersects the ridge. All four sides are flashed: two fronts and two sides.

----------------------------------------------
The PARTIAL IN PLANE chimney is partially surrounded by one roof plane. Three sides are flashed: the back, the front, and one side. The example shown would require RIGHT SIDE counter flashing flags.

----------------------------------------------
The PARTIAL AT RIDGE chimney intersects the ridge. Three sides are flashed: One side in two directions and two fronts.

----------------------------------------------
The PARTIAL AT EAVE chimney intersects the eave. Three sides are flashed: the back and two sides. This configuration will often have a Cricket or Saddle on the back side.
